Aloe Vera
Extracted from the Aloe vera plant. Aloe Vera is part of the succulent family of plants, which are characterized by the large amounts of water they store. Aloe binds moisture into the skin and stimulates, fibroblast which produces collagen and elastin fibers, thereby making the skin more elastic and less wrinkled. It has also been proven to heal cutaneous wounds to the skin. Aloe also hydrates the hair shaft.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine
A natural surfactant that can be used in organic formulations if it has been manufactured in an acceptable way, containing no 'synthetics'. Cocamidopropyl Betaine is always produced via a synthetic process although the coco and the betaine components are natural. It is used as a foam booster in shampoos and a medium strength surfactant also used in bath products like hand soaps. It is also used in cosmetics as an emulsifying agent and thickener, and to reduce irritation purely ionic surfactants would cause.
